Le journal de la Finca

The story of our first grains

It’s a story that begins simply. Almost from nothing.

After spending several years in Colombia, our noses and palates had become familiar with Arabica coffee. We loved it, even though we didn’t yet fully understand all of its nuances.

Then came a realization: fertile land in the valley, an ideal altitude, and all the right conditions seemed to be there. So we embarked, almost naturally, on the coffee-growing adventure.

Today, 5,000 coffee trees — representing seven different varieties and cultivated using biodynamic practices — are thriving across nearly three hectares of the finca. We planted the following varieties: Caturro Chiloso, Java, Wush Wush, Bourbon, Geisha, and Cenicafé Uno.

In May 2026, the first blossoms appeared. Delicate and full of promise. And now, the first coffee cherries are beginning to emerge. What a proud moment!

Here are a few images from this unfolding adventure, along with one of my very first videos featuring Bruno, our coffee manager at the finca. He knows how to speak to coffee plants and, just as importantly, how to share his passion for them. And this is only the beginning.

We continue to learn and grow, guided by some of Colombia’s leading coffee specialists, always striving to deepen our knowledge and take this passion even further.
