Welcome to Pijao !

Pijao, a timeless village in the Coffee Triangle

At the heart of Colombia’s Coffee Triangle, Pijao is a peaceful village surrounded by lush mountains and coffee plantations.

Located at 1,700 metres above sea level in the Andes mountain range, it benefits from exceptionally fertile lands that produce outstanding coffees as well as a wide variety of high-quality agricultural products.

Pijao is part of the Cittaslow movement, which promotes a way of life that respects nature, traditions, and human connections. Here, time seems to slow down.

As you wander through the village streets, you will meet coffee growers, street vendors, and discover small cafés where you can enjoy excellent Arabica coffee, as well as shops offering carefully prepared coffees using different methods such as washed, natural, and honey processes.

The colourful houses give the village its unique charm, while the central square, dominated by its red church rebuilt after the 1999 earthquake, remains a true gathering place where locals meet and share daily life.

If you wish to discover the Coffee Region away from traditional tourist routes, through a village that has preserved its authenticity and its soul, you are in the right place.
