Finca days

The Final Days Before Opening

After several years of preparation, the Casa Coyaima project is finally taking shape.

For several weeks now, Casa Coyaima has become our daily life. We have chosen to settle here as a family for a year, to accompany the launch of this great adventure and fully experience this final stage in the transformation of the finca.

Today, we are in that rather unique period when the construction work is coming to an end, but there is still so much left to prepare. The famous “last 1%”.

The lodge cabins are almost ready. The final details are coming together, the furniture has arrived, the coffee is growing, and the structure of the large vegetable garden is almost complete. The panoramic terraces are finished, and we are already enjoying them.

The team has recently grown with the arrival of Alberto and Sebastian. Four generations now live at Casa Coyaima, and the atmosphere is joyful and very much like a family. Everyone is eager to learn, and kindness is at the heart of everything we do.

Together, we are beginning to imagine the restaurant’s recipes, identify the best birdwatching spots…

At KMØ Casa de Viajeros, our travellers’ house, the final work is also moving forward. Soon, the kitchen will come alive, the first harvests from La Chagra will make their way onto the tables, and long days will end around a coffee, a drink or a good meal.

There is still a lot to do before we open our doors. We are planning to open on October 1st, so there is plenty of work ahead!

But for the first time, we are beginning to see Casa Coyaima as we had dreamed it.

And soon, all that will be left to do is welcome you.
